How to Fix Hytale Low FPS - Force GPU Rendering

If your frame rate is tanking in Hytale despite having a decent rig, your computer is likely ignoring your graphics card and trying to run the game on your CPU instead. It is frustrating to tweak settings that do nothing, but this is usually just a Windows routing issue that we can force to use your dedicated GPU.

Why this happens

Windows sometimes fails to recognize new games as high-performance applications, causing it to default to your integrated processor.

Steps

   Right-click your desktop and select Display Settings

   Scroll down and click on Graphics

   Click the Browse or Add button to locate your game file

   Navigate to C:/Users/[YourUsername]/AppData/Roaming/Hytale/Install/Release/Package/Game/Latest/Client/ and select HytaleClient.exe

   Once added to the list, click the Hytale entry and select Options

   Choose High Performance to force your dedicated GPU, then click Save
