Fix Marvel Rivals Login Error 10, 220, and 5
If you are staring at an error code 10, 220, or 5 instead of the main menu, your game client is struggling to establish a stable handshake with the servers. Most of the time, this is caused by corrupted local files or a network configuration hiccup that just needs a quick reset.
Why this happens
These errors usually stem from corrupted game cache files, outdated DNS records, or your local firewall blocking the game's outgoing connection to the login servers.
What you'll need
You will need administrative access to your PC if you are applying firewall changes or flushing your DNS.
Steps
-
01Close Marvel Rivals and your game launcher entirely, then restart your PC or console and your internet router.
-
02Verify game files: On Steam, right-click Marvel Rivals, go to Properties, select Installed Files, and click Verify integrity of game files. On Epic, click the three dots on the game in your library, select Manage, then Verify.
-
03Flush DNS: Open Command Prompt as administrator, type
ipconfig /flushdnsand press Enter. -
04For PS5, go to Settings, then Users and Accounts, then Other, and select Restore Licenses.
-
05Add a firewall exception: Go to Windows Security, select Firewall and network protection, click Allow an app through firewall, and add MarvelRivals.exe from your installation folder, ensuring both Private and Public boxes are checked.
